After a career in the digital world, a friend inspired me to pick up a brush and try my hand at barn quilts—applying traditional patterns to "beautify" rural structures. From there I expanded those “ingredients” into portraiture, joining the Broward Art Guild and exhibiting in local galleries. My transition to painting was well-received, earning a 2nd place, 4 judges awards and 3 honorable mentions and a water media award.
